Lodestone
Cohort
Lodestone is for:
- Schools that are seeking to develop a pipeline of future leaders
- Schools building or strengthening the distributive model of leadership on site
- School leaders looking to strengthen leadership capacity of grade level or department leads
- Lead teachers or grade level leads who have aspirations to grow
Cohort Structure
Lodestone cohorts consist of 8-12 Fellows who come together in a mix of in-person and virtual convenings over the course of the year. Fellows come together in person three times and a fourth time, virtually. Each three-day convening focuses on a particular aspect of leadership and blends competency development with immersive experience and role-specific design challenges. Fellows work towards a school-specific capstone project, leveraging the tools and resources during the in-person and virtual convenings to work toward a particular goal at their school. Leader Institute coaches work with Fellows and their school leaders to ensure each Fellow is receiving the support needed to develop.

Fellows walk away with...
- Tools and and resources to lead at the grade or department level
- A deeper understanding of their strengths and growth areas as a leader
- A close-knit cohort of peers who are on similar leadership journeys
- Evidence of a school-based initiative that they have led from vision through implementation and impact analysis
